How to Obtain St Kitts Citizenship: A Step-by-Step Guide
The process to obtain St Kitts citizenship is quick and simple. Choose an investment option, submit documents, and complete Due Diligence. Once approved, make the investment and receive citizenship in just a few months.
Initial Background Check
A Compliance Anti-Money Laundering Officer reviews the investor’s documents confidentially, requiring only the applicant’s passport and taking just one business day. This preliminary Due Diligence check is managed by Roots Citizenship’s dedicated Compliance Department. The thoroughness of this process reduces the risk of rejection to just 1%.
Document Preparation
Roots Citizenship’s lawyers compile a list of necessary personal and financial documents for the citizenship program, including passports, birth and marriage certificates, and bank statements. They complete all required state forms on behalf of the investor, who only needs to provide signatures.
Once your documents are ready, we take care of submitting them to the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment unit on your behalf.
Due Diligence & Application Processing
Our lawyers forward the completed documents to the St Kitts and Nevis CBI unit. The applicant then pays the Due Diligence fee, initiating the investigation. All family members over 16 years old must undergo this check.
As part of Due Diligence, a mandatory interview is conducted, which can be done online. The main applicant and any dependents over 16, if necessary, will attend this interview individually. A certified translator is available if needed.
Approval and Completion of Investment Requirements
The CBI unit informs Roots Citizenship of the decision on the investor’s application. Once approved, the investor must fulfill the investment requirement within 90 days by either contributing to the state fund, investing in an Approved Public Benefit Project, or purchasing real estate.
Passport Issuance
After the investment is completed, a Certificate of Registration is issued. This certificate must be collected in person in St Kitts and Nevis or at an approved Embassy or Consulate. Based on this certificate, a passport will then be issued.
